The 2006 Corvette is a great car, in my opinion; the best work Chevrolet has done on a Corvette since the 1960's, and they deserve credit for that, I'm a true Chevoholic whose passion in life is old muscle cars, but this car deserves serious respect, it's what you need to keep up with most 1960's Vettes.

After doing some software testing using the weight and power of the 2006 Corvette ZO6, it really impressed me, and this is no easy task, if the car has the power advertised at the wheel, it should be capable of an 11.969 in the ¼ mile, and that's impressive, it's as impressive as the Viper ever was, and it does, and it's still one of the best handling cars on the planet, according to skid tests.

The Corvette ZO6 scored a 1.2 G on the skidpad, which means that at full acceleration it would take 1.2 times the weight of the car to slide it 1 inch sideways, and another impressive number, the ZO6 continues to spit out these impressive numbers, the next spec I will talk about is the 0-60 time of this car, which happens to be 3.4 seconds, not a low number at all, most European cars won't beat that number.

So when you have these morons who think they can hammer you, just because they own a BMW, a Mercedes or some other import car, well probably not in the ¼ mile, not on a road course, and certainly not on the skidpad, the ZO6 Corvette is a real super car, it just happens to be designed so that the average person can afford to buy one and drive it, it comes to a beautiful automobile with a lot of advantages.

Just wait until Chevrolet gets into the second and third generation of this car, and see what they do, they are the best at coming up with new and impressive ideas, while keeping the car in an affordable price range, can you even imagine what an import, that can do what the ZO6 would cost you to buy, it wouldn't be in the 60,000 $ range, and that's where the Corvette is, you're just trying to name me an import car with the same level of performance and excitement of the Corvette for the same price, impossible right?

The ZO6 is truly a car for the masses, a car that a muscle car man would love to drive and a car that a sports car man would be very happy with, truly it is a car that any car nut would be happy to own and drive, I know I would, with the first limited production of these cars it was very difficult to get one, only the platinum Chevy dealers got them, and even then they only had one or two each, and in this town the dealer owners took them home.

Here's a word to all of you, no Sayers, the Corvette ZO6 is not an easy target, at the 24 hours of Lemans last year it came first and second respectively out of all of them, that was above Porsche, BMW and a few other called better and more advanced cars on the market, if that was the case then you would think they would have no problem shooting down the Corvette, but they do, and it will continue to be so.

Because Chevrolet has a relentless desire to win, and no matter what you think of the Corvette, it's a winning race car, and has been for a long time, it will continue to do so as long as Chevrolet continues to work on the performance aspects of it, Chevy is the master of getting more power out of an engine, and they have been for a long time, no matter what you might think, it's a proven fact that Chevrolet has built the most winning engines in this country.
