Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1971 BMW 2800CS E9 Coupe. This is a two-owner example with known history and service records dating to new. Originally polaris silver, the original owner was unhappy with some finish issues that arose in the first year of his ownership and he convinced the BMW dealer to repaint the entire car for him in 1972. He opted for a color change to anthracite grey metallic. The finish has held up remarkably well and retains a nice shine, but there is some crazing in the clear coat on the hood, roof and trunk lid. The body is straight with excellent door fitment and panel gaps. Nice original bumpers, trim, glass and correct coupe wheels. There has
